Grand Designs

Presented by design expert Kevin McCloud, Grand Designs charts the in-depth process of ambitious design projects, from the initial detail of blueprints, to the long and often gruelling task of turning the designs into a practical living space.

In this new five-part series of Grand Designs Revisited, Kevin catches up with some of the owners to see how their journey to create their dream home has progressed. He ventures to Yorkshire to meet with the Shaws whose life spiralled into chaos when they bought a crumbling castle in the Yorkshire Dales in 2004. He also returns to Cambridge to meet with the Nevilles, who in 2005 began constructing an eco-friendly home built around an 800 year-old oak tree trunk. Will the homeowners have finally realised their dream, or has the fairytale turned into a nightmare?
