Two teams must seek out a bargain which they hope to sell later for a higher price.

Bargain Hunt, presented by effervescent host and Antiques Roadshow expert, Tim Wonnacott, challenges people to turn bargains into profit.

Two teams are given £200 each and have just one hour to trawl the stalls and seek out a bargain which they hope to sell later for a higher price. Not only do the contestants learn about the pitfalls of selling and buying at an auction, there is also advice on restoration and how best to present an item for sale – sometimes careful cleaning can make all the difference.

Even with expert help, the teams discover it's not as easy as it looks, but there are plenty of laughs and lessons along the way. As each item comes under the hammer, which will fetch the best price? And who will win, the red team or the blue?

It is at least five years since the money for the teams was changed to 300 pounds (three hundred), so when is the information going to be updated?
