Antiques Roadshow Australia: Behind The Scenes

For the first time in 28 years Michael Aspel and his team of experts headed to Australia in 2005 with Antiques Roadshow to uncover our treasures. To find out what’s involved with getting the Antiques Roadshow into town, The LifeStyle Channel’s Brendan Moar takes you behind the scenes of this historic event.

The Antiques Roadshow is not just a television show – it’s a monster event and Brendan introduces you to the machine that rolls into town as well as the people and objects that make the show so successful.

With only half of the BBC’s regular production team here for the show, things hot up as filming day draws near and final briefings are given to the new kids on the block, the Australian contributors.

We also follow a handful of viewers from their home to the event and witness their day unfold, sharing their nerves when they realise they’re about to be filmed.

See the enormity of the show – queues, cameras and the production process, get a glimpse into the range of characters involved; meet devoted fans; and witness the show gems from an amazing evaluation to a disappointing one.
