Luke and Dave have bought a pub that is falling apart and it’s going to take all they have to hold it together.

Everything that could possibly go wrong goes wrong during Luke and Dave’s first week on the job.

Ever since the George has been in Picton it has been the only pub in the area (and possibly in Australia) that has not had poker machines. But again that’s all about to change.

For the last few years the pub’s previous owner has kept the King George IV closed on Anzac day. This year the Anzac spirit returns to the George.

Dave Wright and his brewer Lexi Lancaster take their one and only beer, Scharers Lager to the Australian Beer Awards which are being held in Melbourne.

The situation reaches boiling point between the boys and their head brewer and they decide to part company, but how do you go about finding a qualified brewer in a country town?

Luke and Dave replace Lexi with another brewer, Marcus. Have they gained a brewer only to lose their locals?

The George’s kitchen is in dire need of a makeover so Luke enlists the help of two of Australia’s most successful restaurant/bar owners, David and Peter Evans. What will their diagnosis be?

With the on site bottling machinery not fit for use and the original labels looking a bit worn Dave decides it’s time Scharers had a face lift. But first he’ll need to sell the idea to Luke.
